Friday, February 16th, 12:51 P.M. Hi, Tom Aversa, reporting on a trip
yesterday to the Sequim area with Steve Driscol(sp?). We started out at Ediz
Hook at Port Angeles where we had an interesting drake ?carmel bella?/
GOLDENEYE cross at the Dishowa Ponds with very close views. Returning back
to Sequim, we had a COMMON TEAL in a little pond at the corner of Woodcock
and Kerner Rd; also an AMERICAN/EURASIAN WIDGEON cross at that pond (both of
these birds were also drakes); and a drake CINNAMON TEAL at the Kitchen-Dick
Ponds. There were 24 TRUMPETER SWANS in the Schmuck Rd area; and an EARED
GREBE at Diamond Point. In the morning, at the Edmonds waterfront there was
a drake OLDSQUAW.

Sunday, February 18th, 5:46 P.M. Hi this is Mike Donohue, (206) 323-9889,
the Whatcom County NORTHERN HAWK OWL was at its usual location on Stein Rd
around 9:30 A.M. today. It was first located high in a cottonwood tree on
the southside of the field (thats on the southside of the house at 8699 Stein
Rd). It then flew into the alder trees that divide this field from the
raspberry field thats behind the alders (this is all on the westside of the
road). To get to this location, take the Birch Bay/Lynden exit (exit 270),
head east about 1.5 miles on this road, turn left onto Stein Rd, and just
over a mile you will come to 8699 Stein Rd. Thats it.
