After owling with Jamie Acker on Bainbridge Island half the night Marv Breece and I headed for Clark Co. In Clark Co. we birded
along Lower River Rd. and both units of Ridgefield NWR and finished the day off along Dike Rd. in Cowlitz Co.

At Vancouver Lake: pretty dead. 1 Western Grebe and 1 Canvasback

Lower River Rd. didn't yield much either: 3 Common Snipe, lots of Canada Geese made up of Lesser, Taverner's, Cackling, and one
which had a white collar of unknown race to me.

Ridgefield NWR was quite productive. First we drove the loop of the south unit with lots of Tundra Swans and even more Sandhill
Cranes. 1 Greater White-fronted Goose, 1 (juv. plumage) Red-shouldered Hawk, 1 Tree Swallow, and 1 Eurasian Wigeon. The north unit
produced several Brown Creepers, 1 White-throated Sparrow (tan stripe), 1 Turkey Vulture, and 1 White-breasted Nuthatch.

Dike Rd. produced 2 Great Egrets in Cowlitz Co.

Total species seen: 75
