The Northern Hawk Owl was perched about 40 feet up in an Alder tree about
1/3 of a mile down the tree line on the south edge of the raspberry field on
the east side of Stein Rd. yesterday afternoon around 3:30. I talked
briefly with the neighbor, in the blue house south of the raspberries, and
he said they still see it most afternoons.

My wife and I will be flying into Sea-Tac early Friday morning to spend
two days in the Seattle/Vancouver BC area birding, and will have a rental
car. We have been following Tweeters for some time now. Any suggestions
for us? We are wondering if the Brambling and the Black-headed Gull are
still being seen in the Vancouver BC area. We will also be trying to find
the Northern Hawk Owl, the Arctic Loon, and the Gyrfalcon, and any Snowy
Owls that are still around. So any information about the above, but
especially the Brambling and the Black-headed Gull will be appreciated.
