Subject: Banding Recoveries

Yesterday forgot to mention the Short-tailed Albatross I captured and
released on Midway Nov. 19, 1973. It had been banded as a chick on Tori
Shima Island, Japan on March 10, 1964. Although almost 9 years old, it
still had quite a bit of immature plumage. Was quite a bit larger than
either the Laysan and Black-footed Albatrosses. Got pictures of it.
