Tweeters,

I made a morning and early afternoon trip to Ocean Shores on Wednesday,
February 28, and saw the following highlights:

North Jetty When I arrived, 15-20 SURFBIRDS, 10-15 BLACK TURNSTONES, and
3-4 ROCK SANDPIPERS were feeding on the jetty rocks along the north
banking just beyond the beach. Later, while sitting on top of the jetty,
a tight flock of about 50 SURFBIRDS circled closely in front of me. Also,
1 BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKE made several passes through the harbor entrance
during an hour of gull watching. By the way, I was sitting on the jetty
when the earthquake hit and never felt a thing.

Sewage Treatment Ponds Nothing much to report from here.

Damon Point Also pretty quiet, with 2 BRANT and a flock 6 WESTERN
MEADOWLARKS being the only notable sightings.
