Hi Tweets

I have to wonder about people who see such interesting birds as their first
bird of the year, don't you have dozens of crows, starlings and house
sparrows everywhere like I do? Oh well. My first heard bird of the year was
a robin singing a very tentative song about 5:30 AM, then crows and gulls
and house finches before I ever got out of bed. The first seen bird was a
crow, then starlings and house sparrows, fourth was the female Anna's at the
feeder about 8AM. I should have left the other drapes drawn... I did see two
Winter Wrens and a Eurasian Wigeon and at dusk there were 17 robins in my
back yard and the neighbors so all in all it was a good day.

Heck, any birds at all make it a good day.
