two labs at least at the UW band song sparrows, actually three
intermittently. The discovery park birds are banded by people in Mike
Beecher's lab (amongst them me!) and some are banded at Pack Forest and
Skagit wildlife area by John Wingfield's lab and Eliot Brenowitz's lab.
The bird in Marysville is most likely from Skagit.
at discovery park we do 3 color bands and the fish and wildlife band.
the metal one rotates as to the year the bird is banded. The only way we
could tell you if it is one of our birds is to get all three color and
metal band in correct order, sorry, we've been banding birds for over 10
years many of which live 7 to 8 years and by now have banded over 500
individuals with prob about 70 or 80 living in the park right now.
