When I woke up yesterday, I heard a pretty, less familiar call in my Fremont
yard. Soon I saw a small flock of cedar waxwings (mature and immature)
feasting on the berries on the old hawthorne tree. One ventured to the
birdbath (the first time I had witnessed that) but repeatedly a robin chased
it off.

It was a nice treat.
