Hello, Tweeters,
Thank you, all of you, who've taken the time to send me your opinions and
advice on my Great Spotting Scope search. I'm not done shopping yet, but I
have to tell you all this:
I cannot believe how many private invitations I've had to come and look
through yours. It astounds me. I grew up in a town where you didn't dare
leave your car unlocked (because someone might fill it up with tons of
zucchini!!!)..seriously, I've grown accustomed to being wary of strangers.
But here on Tweeters it appears that we still trust each other, total
strangers. But we're not really strangers, are we? We talk to each other all
the time. I know so many of you by name and have never met you, so we're not
really "strangers". What a great bunch to be a part of!! (Although I will
admit we are strange........to non-birders. Oh, heck with them. If they think
we're a bunch of Miss Jane's, let them. Miss Jane knew a good hobby when she
saw it.)
Thank you, all, for your kind invitations to try out your scopes. I doubt
I'll have to go that route...I'm getting a LOT of good information...but I
thank you from bottom of my street wise heart.
I'll let you all know what I choose.
Michelle
