Subject: Lost Falcon in Whatcom County

After lurking on Tweeters for all these years I'm making my first post with
a heavy heart. On Sunday evening 7 Jan. my intermewed (adult)Gyr/Saker
"Thumper" dissapeared while chasing a bald eagle near Everson, Whatcom
County. Thumper appears pure white ventrally with a very fine malar, His
back is blue/gray. His confirmation is that of a small male gyrfalcon. He
was wearing small leather bracelets (no jesses) which may not be readily
apparent. He also has a small seemless band and a yellow name tag on his
right leg and a tail mounted radio transmitter (apparently not functioning).
Thumper was not the type to wander off so I fear the worst. He is an
"imprint" and thus no threat to any wild falcon population.
Any sightings of medium sized white falcons would be greatly appreciated, if
they lead to his recovery I will pay a significant reward.
I can be contacted at(360) 966.3226 or E-mailed at anatum at telcomplus.net
I hope this falls within the scope of the list. Paul DeBruyn
