I've had to install foam insulation strips on the back side of my suet cage
that is against the window in our home office. it's the kind that comes in a
roll and has adhesive covered with tape. I made a short wooden (cedar) roof
and partial back and attached the foam to that
this keeps the cage from hitting so hard when the flicker shows up. That guy
can REALLY thump!
