Hi Tweeters..yesterday (Wed) I went to Damon Pt. to check out the high tide and found 19 Brant geese foraging in the inner base of Damon Pt., about 50 ft from the parking lot. For those of you thinking about coming down here to do some birding, wear your boots! The high tide waves are breaking INSIDE the game range, and all but a few "islands" are under water. Also, the ponds inside Damon Pt. are considerably enlarged due to surf breaking over the outer sand dunes and draining into the ponds. On the jetty side, waves are breaking over the jetty along the entire length, and water and logs are well up into the area between the jetty and the parking lot.
