I spent last Tuesday helping retrieve nests from the tangle of fallen maple trees and I never once
heard any mention of duck decoys or recorded bird calls. The question that kept coming into my mind
was "To be attractive to the herons, do we really have to put real heron nests up there or could
we get away with cleaner, better smelling wads of sticks"?

Have any Tweeters ever observed Great Blue Herons and Red-tailed Hawks nesting in close proximity
to one another - like within 100 feet?
