Was visible today in the area previously described -- Stein Rd., and the
road "behind" and parallel to it (sorry, can't remember the name of the
road, and have no sense of direction). Gorgeous bird! I'm glad so many
people have posted re it, because that's what inspired me to drive up there
and take a peek.

One of the things we noticed was that he was flicking his tail a lot, and
way up behind his head. Any idea what that was all about?

I was up there from around 2:30 - 3:45. First the bird was in the birches,
then flew down into a hedgerow which you could see only from the road
behind Stein. He got kinda busy with hunting (but either he's a really
fast eater, or didn't catch anything that we could see). Did lots of
flying from perch to perch, often flying down below our sight line. Many
folks said he looked very falconish in flight. I'm not experienced enough
to know that, but will take their word for it!

All in all, a great way to spend the afternoon!

Cheers,
