Hi, Tweets

The gyr wasn't at its regular spot when Ann van der Geld and I drove by at
mid-day today, but I went on back to check out 'my' eagles. Just past
Craven Farms, south on Short School Road, a redtail was flying across the
field and a falcon flew out in front of us in pursuit. They twisted and
turned across the field in back of the farm, giving excellent looks at the
grey-morph gyrfalcon and a large female redtail. Upon returning by the
area, only the redtail was seen in a distant cottonwood at field edge. Nice
view of both birds.

No eagles around today when we were in the valley, but a nice immature male
Cooper's hawk in the immediate area allowed very close looks. Also saw a
couple hundred swans to the west of SSRoad/old Monroe highway. Nice day for
looking.

Cheers, Diann
