We had one of those rascals around here a few years back. You are
right, they are feisty little fellas. We had a pair of robins nesting
in a hanging basket then and one day I heard an awful racket upstairs.
I came running up to see my wife with a broom handle pounding on this
squirrel in the hanging basket. He was raiding the baby robins.
Phyllis was a little late and the carnage was already done. The
squirrel escaped with his life but we never saw him again. It was a
Douglas. Maybe he went to Mercer Island.
