It'll probably be in all the UK papers tommorrow under the title "Stone the
crows!" OR "You could 'ave knocked me down with a feather!"

>From "La Repubblica" - a "quality" Italian national newspaper.

Milazzo, Messina, Sicily: Trained Crow steals 500,000 lire (about =A3160)

MILAZZO (Messina) - A crow, probably trained to steal, flew off with half a
million lire snatched from the gutted user of a cashpoint machine at Pace d=
el
Mela, near Messina. The report of the crime to the police was made by an
accountant, 40 year old M.C. The victim told police that the bird was extre=
mely
fast and that as the banknotes emerged from the machine it grabbed them in =
its
beak and flew off.

"Incredible" said the accountant, "I wasn't expecting it at all". The direc=
tors
of the Bank if Sicily, after having seen the recording of the videocamera (=
which
was working at the time) seem to have entirely confirmed the man's version =
of
events.

=2E...hmmmm....

I'd check the "40 y.o accountant" first... but nice story anyway

If they finally nail the guy the title could be "Cawt!" :-))

Paul.
