We spent 4 days at Burrows Beach, just north of Bandon, Or., in June of 1999 and there was still a lot of gorse in evidence at that time. In Kitsap county last year I reported a small stand (4 plants ) to the noxious weed board at Kitsap County Parks and Rec., 360-337-7205. The gorse that I noticed on Ridgetop Blv.N.W. in April was in bloom and easy to spot as it comes into bloom somewhat earlier than Scot's broom. Best to control it where possible.
