................Been gathering info. and comparisons on binos. and
spotting scopes. My equipment is satisfactory---within their
limitations, but.........the time has arrived for me to purchase better
quality equipment.
................I am interested in 10 x 50 or 10x 55 waterproof binocular
with good eye relief for an eyeglass wearer and as close of a close-up
focus as feasible.
................In spotting scopes I am interested in 20-50 or20-60 zoom
in 70 or 80 mm( 70mm would probably be plenty adequate). This also needs
to be waterproof or water resistant with good eye relief also.
................I am aware of the "big bucks" involved here, and I don't
think I "can handle" the most expensive 'top-of-the-line. However, I
*do* want quality equipment that I will be satisfied with for a long
time to come, and am willing to spend extra money to get this quality
(within reason.....(-: )
................I need output and suggestions from all you experienced
birders who use the higher quality equipment.
................Also need suggestions on quality tripods, though purchase
of this will wait till I see what kind of scope I will get.(....my
tripod is a low-end item bought many years ago in a second-hand store.
In fact----my scope and binos. are both 2nd hand---bought in an era when
money was in 'shorter supply'!!!!)
