The Sky Lark population on th Saanich Penninsula(mainly around the Victoria
Airport) used to extend to San Juan Island. Unfortunately, populations have
diminished in recent years and I have heard no confirmed records of Sky
Larks in recent years. 200 birds were reported near the Victoria Airport
last winter.
