As I write this (~5pm Tuesday) there is a young eagle atop a hemlock tree
about 60 yards away. Likely the same one that was on and off the tree for
nearly two hours last week. The tree is two blocks above Lake Washington,
in NE Seattle. No crows swooping by this time.

A few weeks ago there was a large Barn Owl on the same tree, for nearly
two hours.

Guess we no longer have to leave home to watch interesting birds!

ps: Two Northern Flickers visit the backyard suet feeders almost every
morning at 10am; very punctual.
