..................Every evening at dusk or just before dusk, dozens of
flocks of wintering Canada Geese numbering in the hundreds pass directly
over my house----traveling west-northwest from Washougal-Camas, Wash.
area by the Columbia River to their nighttime roosting areas around
Sauvie Island, Oreg. and Bachelor Island and Ridgefield NWR along the
Columbia R. in Wash. I would presume.
..................They probably pass over going east at dawn, but I am
not home at that time to observe. Anyway.............. their noisy
honking and cackling presence never ceases to fill me with awe and
reverence for all things God has created..
