Greetings:

At noon today (Tuesday, Jan. 30), I relocated the Great-tailed Grackle at Stanwood. The bird was on overhead wires at the intersection of 270 St. NW and 103 Dr. NW, back in the same general neighborhood in which it was discovered on Jan. 7.

I had spent an hour driving around, looking for it, beginning at the Wolfkill Feed and Seed mill at 271 St. NW & the railway tracks beside Florence Rd. I also searched along 102 Ave. NW as far north as the equestrian center, then re-searched the streets west of 102 Ave. a couple of times, and bingo! I was lucky.

Thanks to Lynn and Carol Schulz for their Jan. 28 update. My hope was renewed, and effort paid off.
