The Arctic Loon that Dave Beaudette found Jan 29 was present around noon today along with 2 Pacific Loons. There is a small area to
park between two signs. From this point the loons were feeding in line with the west most point of Whidbey Island. They were under
water more than on top. Other birds in this area: Black Scoters, Brant, Horned and Red-necked Grebes, plus to normal. Yesterday I
checked twice and could not even find a loon of any type. Yesterday there were Harlequin Ducks, but not today.

Directions: From I-5 in Lynwood head west on SR 524. In Edmonds, just after Olympic view Drive, turn north on 9 Avenue N., then
left on Water Street which take you to a great overview, but limited parking.
