I was on my way into Woodinville from the Northcreek area about 30 minutes
ago and witnessed a crow attacking a bird on the ground. The bird tried
escaping but a second crow flew in and caught the bird and immediately
started pecking it in the head. The bird almost immediately went limp. I
came back about 15 minutes later and found the area of attack (lots of
feathers around) and what remained of the carcass. It does not look like
the crows ate much of the bird so why did they kill it? Oh, the bird
appeared to be a starling but the head was pretty wrecked.
