Several photos of a possible Tricolored Blackbird frequenting a Genesee, ID
feeder (Genesee is between Leiwston & Moscow) can be found here:
http://photomail.photoworks.com/sharing/roll.asp?Key=0645044686330506.

The photos don't provide much to work with (the photographer was having some
camera at the time) but I would be interested in any comments concerning
it's identity - especially if you think it is definitely not a Tricolored.
Photo # 22 is probably the best of the series. I saw the bird in question
briefly on Saturday morning and though it *might* be a Tricolored (but have
very little experience w/ the species). However, I am troubled by Rich
Rowlett's suggestion that if you are not sure it probably is not a
Tricolored and by the lack of suitable habitat in the immediate vicinty. The
RW Blackbirds use ditches and field edges but there is no cattail marsh
nearby that I know of. A number of RW Blackbirds w/ worn and faded median
coverts are also visiting the feeder.

Thanks, Charles.
