Subject: Flying Squirrel in my nesting box

Tweets, I tried to post this yesterday, but seems it did not get through.
Yesterday afternoon, I decided to do my routine house sparrow cleanout on a
nest box, and found unusual nesting material, but figured it was them
anyway. Much to my surprise when I reach in to scoop up the nest, a pair of
big brown eyes peeked out at me with the sweetest face, and took off in a
flash up the tree, and it was obviously a flying squirrel, solid and dark in
color, and larger than
the sugar gliders seen in stores( at least it seemed so at the time).
Is this a common occurance, and they are more common than I realized?
And will he ever come back, or have I blown it for this guy.
It really tops any bird I have ever had, and I have had some great yard
birds in the last 12 years in Bonney Lake. Should I offer sunflower seeds
in the feeder that is in the same area or what?
