> The following list is of birds observed in the Dugualla Bay atlas
> square (Township 33N, Range 2E, NW quarter) during field work for
the Island County Breeding Bird Atlas on July 2, 2001. I worked the
area between 07:40 and 13:40, Pacific Standard Time. Habitats covered
included second-growth conifer and mixed forest, residential areas,
Dugualla Lagoon (freshwater)and adjacent marshy habitat, hayfields,
and saltwater shorelines.

> Of the total of 65 species observed, 6 were considered to be
> "Confirmed" breeders, 18 were "Probable" breeders, 37 were
"Possible" breeders, and 4 were considered to be non-breeders.
>
> The biggest surprise was the scarcity of Northwestern Crow-- only
one bird seen, and that at almost the end of the coverage!

Mammals seen included one Blacktail Deer and 5 Douglas Squirrels.
