Today I was on my bike on the BG Trail heading towards Ballard. As many of
you know, in parts the trail is ideal habitat--bushy in spots, lotsa trees,
etc. I stopped briefly to listen to what at first I thought were two
White-Crowned Sparrows countersinging. One of the birds had the funkiest
WCSP song I'd ever heard, and then realized it was another kind of sparrow.
I'd never heard two diff kinds of birds countersinging. So, Do two
different kinds of birds countersing? If so, is it a routine thing??
Unfortunately I didn't have my binos w/me so couldn't tell what kind the
other sparrow was, and didn't recognize its song (will have to pull out my
birdsong CDs). Any info appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
