I birded the day in Adams Co. and found the shorebirds have arrived. I
found, of interest, a Biard's sandpiper at the McCain's potato ponds (
behind the Para Pond) off McManamon Rd, Othello. I found 3 short-billed
and one long-billed dowitchers, and a common tern at Cow lake pg 71, 7d, in
Delorme. They were on the west end of the lake along the shoreline on a
point, look for alot of gull and caspian terns. Also of interest was a
ferruginous hawk on Wellsandt Rd about 1.5 miles from it's intersection with
Hill Rd pg 71 7c in delorme. I checked Washtucna and Bassett Park with
little activity but it was noon.
