Greetings --

Could someone please comment on the status of White-tailed Kite in
western Washington? This morning I saw what had all the appearances
of a juvenile White-tailed Kite on the Mima Mounds prairie in
Thurston County. I had the bird under lengthy observation, but the
distance was great enough that the heat waves obscured the image in
my 'scope a bit.
