I took a Sunday morning break from yardwork yesterday morning and drove down
to the Chambers Creek Estuary just north of Stillicum (sp?) Nothing
earthshaking to report, but a pleasant morning none-the-less. The
highlights for me were two juvenile Red-tail Hawks crying at each other, and
a mother and chick Common Merganzer diving in the creek.

Birds seen:

G. W. Gull
Belted Kingfisher
Canada Goose - perhaps 100 or more.
Mallards
Western Wood Pewee
Song Sparrow
White-crowned Sparrow
Western Sandpiper
Killdeer
Red-tailed Hawks - 3 total
Common Merganzer with chick
Osprey - caught and ate a fish at the pond above the bridge
Goldfinch
House Finch
Brown-headed Cowbird
American (Northwestern?) Crow - too many to count.
Great Blue Heron - 9 or 10 birds
B.C. Chickadee
Barn Swallows
V.G. Swallows
Band-tailed Pigeons - flock of about 20 birds.

Good Birding!
