Subject: ANY MORE STILT SIGHTINGS FROM RIDGEFIELD NWR?

Tweeters,

Has anyone visiting Ridgefield NWR (River S Unit) in the last 2-3
weeks made any more observations of the Black-necked Stilt chicks
reported earlier by Patrick Sullivan and myself? I notice that Wilson
Cady visited the refuge on July 3, and noted American Bitterns and
Black Terns, but made no mention of the Stilts. It would be of
interest to know whether the young Stilts survived to fledging age.

If you have visited Ridgefield recently and made any observations of
the Stilts-- with or without young-- please post a message to
TWEETERS, or if you prefer, a private message to me. Thanks!
