Two of our VG swallow nest boxes have noisy babies in
them. We have seen their parents fly in and out with food.
But last night, I saw a chestnut-backed chickadee bringing
food and entering one of the nest boxes. And again this
am. So I wonder what's going on. What kind of babies are
really in there. Is is possible to have two types of birds in
one box? Is the chickadee caring for the VG swallow
babies or has the chickadee taken over the box with her
own babies? Anyone care to venture a guess?

Take care,
Nancy
