Hi Al,

A good area with lots of Turkey Vultures and even small kettles of
Broad-winged Hawks consistently in the 3rd-4th week in Sep (along with
many other raptors) is East Sooke Park, Vancouver Island where 100s of
TV's congregate before heading over the Juan de Fuca Strait. East Sooke
Park is about 45 mins west of Victoria BC (which is something like 2 hrs
from Seattle by ferry). It is quite a sight!

Even better, by volunteering to bird band at the Rocky Point Bird
Observatory you can get onto the Canadian Military Base which is another
great spot to see the migration (as well as many birds up close and one of
the largest remnant Garry Oak forests).
