Tweeters, well, out of watching house sparrows checking out but not entering the box I found the squirrel in, I decided to check it out. I opened the wall carefully, and made note of the material inside, although the squirrel was not there. The nest has apparently been finished. It now has 'shavings of bark, some moss, and what appears to be fur. It only had moss the first time I looked inside. The change was quite obvious to me. I was informed by Kelly McCallister that they are not at all rare, but just not seen, so I have no case with the city. However, the youth center Has been put on hold, for now, and the talked about skateboard park is
being built in Sumner. I will keep an eye out for activity, and keep those interested updated via Tweeters, as I did not retain all the addresses of those interested. I did read that they do sleep in different places when not nesting, and even share with others, as they are quite sociable.
