Hello Tweeters,
I was building a smal pond this spring under much consideration to attract
smal Damselflies.
I went to the place in Hoquiam call "The Pond Place" to purchase some
vegetaion for the pnd to avoid alge in the water.I also bought a Waterlilly
..I sped a lot of time creating habitat for Damsels.The Waterlilly never
blumed,so when we stopped there last weekend i stopped by the pond
place,where i was advised to put a fertilizer tablet into the plant.On the
same time i bought some Tad Poles eventialy turning in to smal frogs.I love
frogs and every think looked so good.Like a little kid i checked the pond
all the time from my Patio.This morning to my amaze i saw the pond
destroyed.The water was all brown from the pots what got turned over and the
Waterlilly was halve eaten up.It happen at nights whatever annimal done this
..I have also Squirrels in my yard,but i dont think there out at nights.I
cleaned the pool and drained the water,i found no Tad Poles all fife where
going.I put the plants back in pots and rocksholding them down in to the
water.The Roots of the waterlilly was intact so i put them also back.The
lost of the waterlilly would be $28.00 and i proable would not
replace,because 50% of the waterlilly what i saw in the shop did not
bloomed.
I like to ask all tweeters who have ponds to give me some feed back about
vegetation in ponds.I also planted lot's of vegetation around the pool and
