I stopped and checked the Washougal Sewage Lagoons along Highway
14 in Clark County on Saturday, July 21st and was surprised to find one
EARED GREBE in breeding plumage on the second pond south of the highway.
There were seven TURKEY VULTURES sitting in the mowed fields at the
Steigerwald Lake N.W.R. about a mile east of the sewage lagoons.
