I must have caught a migratory pulse yesterday, because there
were very few birds today. I arrived at 1640hr and stayed
until 1530hr. Todd Thornton and Steve Warner were still watching
when I left and may have more to report.

There were at 2 juvenile LEAST SANDPIPERS with 4 adults at the
shorebird ponds. There were at least 1000 CASPIAN TERNS and
300 CALIFORNIA GULLS on the river beach.

Shorebird count
Black-bellied Plover 1
Semipalmated Plover 2
Long-billed Dowitcher 1
Western Sandpiper 18
Least Sandpiper 6

Mike Patterson Alas, to wear the mantle of Galileo,
Astoria, OR it is not enough to be persecuted
celata at pacifier.com by an unkind establishment,
you must also be right.
