Hello Tweeters,
I went again to Brady Loop Road and saw the White-tailed Kite again.I got
there Very late11.30Am nothing was seen.I checked the ponds out there where
only Ducks.I like to mention to all that i have permission to go in to the
wetlands from the owner .As i came back to the road i saw the Kite hunting
over the exposed fields. It so happen he catched a smal prey and perched
close to the road. But as i approached the bird he start flying of but flew
direct over my head for some good photos in flight. My Photos on the
Red-shouldered Hawk looking fantastic good. Also the Adult Bar-tailed Godwit
in Tokland was sighted yesterday by some birders from Astoria
On my way home i checked The Schouweiler wetland for Dragonflies and found a
female Western Ponhawk(Erythemis collocata). There is no mistake made if you
net the Dragonflie for identification. This Dragonflie belongs to Dennis for
the record since i believe it is a first County record for Grays Harbor.
