Nothing spectacular, but for what it's worth...

Kennedy Creek Estuary, Mason County, Wash., July 29,
2001:

I was here on the rising tide from 1235 to 1415. The
viewing conditions were good: the cloud cover was thin
enough to produce uniform light with no glare or harsh
shadows.

Great Blue Heron 2
Canada Goose 10
Mallard 8
Black-bellied Plover 54 [1]
Killdeer 1
Greater Yellowlegs 2
Least Sandpiper 60 [2]
Long-billed Dowitcher 5
Bonaparte's Gull present [3]
Ring-billed Gull present
American Crow 28
Barn Swallow 15

Footnotes:

[1] Both breeding and non-breeding plumage.
[2] Only a few of the 60 were clearly ID'd, so some
could have been Westerns.
[3] Adult, 1st summer, and juvenal plumages.

Total number of species seen: 12
