Hi Tweets,
A team which consisted of Bruce LaBar, Tom Schooley, Michael Dossett, and
myself set out Saturday night for a Big Day. Our mission was to attempt to
achieve the WA July record, which seemed low at 119 species. We birded parts
of Kittitas, Grant, Adams, King, Snohomish, Skagit, and Island Counties
during the day. Here is how the Big Day went:

12:15am Liberty
A couple Spotted Owls called, but no other owls were encountered, despite a
lot of searching until 2:30am. Just before we left, we discovered that
Michael had left his binoculars in his trunk back in Federal Way. This was
going to be a very long day for him without binoculars.
