Tweets,

Yesterday morning while birding the Montlake Fill an immature Bald Eagle
landed in the cottonwood tree above me. It was hidden by the foliage but
I could I could see a fish hanging from one of it's talons. A crow landed
nearby to complain. Then a second young eagle swooped in and chased the
fisherman off it's perch. The chase was on. They circled above me, the
fisherman being now chased by his sibling(?) and two crows. Suddenly the
two eagles locked talons, spinning and falling. Finally they let go but
the fisherman only had *half* a fish.

Also I was happy to see 3 male Blue-winged Teals still at the Fill.

Good birding,
