Hi tweets:

The birding was great and the weather was interesting when East Lake
Washington Audubon took a field trip to Eastern Washington on Saturday, June
2nd. We crossed paths with many other birders as 13 of us birded the
Ellensburg area, Umtanum to Wenas Rd and Yakima Canyon Rd. Spotted Sandpiper
and Wilson's Phalarope at Wenas Lake took our minds off the rain showers and
the sun was out from time to time for us to see Burrowing Owl, Short-eared
Owl, Golden Eagle, White-headed Woodpecker, White-breasted Nuthatch,
Long-billed Curlew, Lewis's Woodpecker, and Lazuli Bunting. We ended the day
with 99 bird species seen and/or heard.
