Hi Tweets,

I have an Uncle who lives up at Warm Beach, just south of Stanwood in
Snohomish County who reports seeing 8 Pelicans. As there are no real public
access points, you would either have to look from the road in the higher
spots or go to the Warm Beach Conference Grounds (church center) an access
the dikes through their trail system. They are usually very amenable to
giving the public access for bird watching.

Mary, Just had to drop you note to let you know that Leon called to tell
us to get our binocular and look out on the flats. There were 8 BIG
Pelicans standing out there facing the sunset - looked like they were
sleeping. One would move now and again so that you could see their big
beaks. That's a first - - VERY INTERESTING as to why they are here.
Will check again tomorrow to see if they are still around. They looked
like they were well fed.
It's been a dreary day - - overcast and some rain.

Good Birding,
