Late Sunday morning (June 3) I was watching a mixed flock at my backyard
feeder when a newcomer showed up. He/she put in two brief appearances, but
by paging thru Sibley, I have narrowed it down to an adult Northern
GRASSHOPPER SPARROW or an adult female BOBOLINK. I live in a forested area
of south Kitsap County. My question is: How likely is either or both of
these to be here now? Paulson's critique of Sibley mentions BOBOLINKS in
the area. It did appear to have a center crown stripe. Any help would be
greatly appreciated!
