administrator. I had a report from Mary Ann Schefe, whose number is (206)
870-0749, that she saw a BLUE-WINGED TEAL at the Des Moines Marina on
Sunday, June 3rd.

June 7, 2001, Thursday, 9:46 a.m. This is Rachel Lawson, BirdBox system
administrator. I have received a tantalizing report of a BAY-BREASTED
WARBLER in Woodinville. The bird has been around for a couple weeks, but
has not been seen in the last couple of days. The owner of the property
says that if the bird returns, he will call me and we will post details on
the BirdBox at that time. Thanks. Good birding.

June 7, 2001, Thursday, 3:30 p.m. Hi, this is Steven Mlodinow. Today the
EASTERN PHOEBE was still on Blackbird Island in Leavenworth. Blackbird
Island is on the south side of U.S. 2, behind Katzenjammer's Restaurant,
near the small parking area. You walk down to a bridge, just about a 100
yards or not even that, and the bird is hanging around on the near side of
the bridge, just to your left as you approach it. It was singing regularly
and loudly from at least 9:30 to 11:00 this morning. The area is also full
of VEERYS and CATBIRDS, and the other bird of note was a hybrid
RED-BREASTER/RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER. That's it. Good luck and good birding.

number (206) 465-1501. A belated report from yesterday, that's Wednesday,
the 6th of June. Went to Lake Ozette with Jason Starfire and Sam Terry and
saw the PARULA, which was singing vigorously and it was in a tall spruce
tree by the ranger station, and this is in Clallam County. Thanks. Good

June 8, 2001, Friday, 9:55 a.m. Hello. My name is Ann Weinmann. Phone
number: (425) 392-9230. Address: East Lake Sammamish Plateau. The bird
that I'm reporting is a ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK. It was sighted on our cedar
at 8:50 a.m. this morning, June 8th. This ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK is no
longer on our cedar and we haven't seen it since for about an hour. This is
as much as I know at this point. Thank you.
