Possible Caspian Tern press release

I?m considering and leaning toward the possibility of doing a press release on the Caspian Tern colony in Commencement Bay which I would send on Mondday. ?I would do no research, only use information gleaned from tweeters. ?I won?t use quotes without specific permission or use anyone?s name and I won?t claim to be representing anyone but myself, unless I get permission. ?This is no big deal. ?The release would arrive in the media?s mailbox long after the news of the colony?s destruction broke, (announced by the WDFW in their press release) and I don?t anticipate a lot of phone calls if and when it gets there.

My reason for doing it is simply to increase the noise level the media feels about concern for species. ?A letter would be more effective, but I?m over my limit on letters to the editor, and have no money for an ad, and that?s when I resort to issuing press releases.

The reason I?m posting is that I?m soliciting info that might help, make the release better, give it quotes from experts, (I see a great new post from Wayne yesterday) facts that I?m not aware of, or even dissuade me from writing it entirely. ?I?m angry but still open-minded about this. ?Thanks, Ed

P.S. ?Dad Violet Green Swallow was making a commotion outside the box, flying around back and forth, two days ago. ?It turned out he had a large perfect white feather which he brought to the opening. ?I guess that was a gift for the sitting female, since they are long done building the nest (?).
