A large flock of BLACK SWIFTS appeared over our home at the NE corner of
Lake Sammammish at 9:00AM this morning. Last year, at the same hour, on the
same date, a similar flcok appeared.(Weird!) Two years ago a flock appeared
on 6/22.

My question relates to CHESTNUT-BACKED CHICKADEES. Two years ago a pair
successfully fledged five young in a nest box on our back porch. Last year a
pair built a nest, laid five eggs, and then disappeared. This year the same
thing happened. There is little disturbance to the vacinity (no kids or
dogs). A pair has apparently fledged a group of young somewhere in the
immediate area, the group appearing regularly at our feeder.
