I don't know much about crows but I have been seeing this same behavior in
Union Bay for about three weeks. Kevin Li just walked in and suggested
that they might be getting the Stickleback's, small spiny fish about two
inches long, which are breeding and apparently dying thereafter in this
area. I never heard of fishing crows but it certainly is an interesting
idea. I'll try for a better look at their prey tomorrow.

I have been observing common crows swooping over the surface of the lake and
grabbing fingerlings with their claws. I didn't know crows could behave
like ospreys. Is this something crows have always done, or is it a
